Catch-all Emails
Learn about just what a catch-all e-mail account is really, how it operates and how to set up one.
A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also essential to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a cloud web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel offers quite a lot of functions, but it is amazingly user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one click. All the email addresses that you have created will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more click on the very same button.
- Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than one click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the exact same manner you will be able to disable the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will notify you if you are attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a specific domain name or if there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never modify or disable any feature automatically or without your consent. - Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
